Benn Grant – Computer Guy to the Rescue!

There are a lot of small to medium sized businesses out there that sometimes need some IT help. How do small and medium businesses deal with this? How do you deal with this on a personal level for your own computers, tablets or phones that are now out of warranty?

Sometimes you may call the company that built the device anyway, get stuck on hold for lots of time and hope and pray that somehow a fix will materialize. Sometimes it will be to call some random person in some other country and hopefully work through the issues that way.

I’ve recently met and started working with a Computer and Tech Consultant – Benn Grant at E-Fix computers. He’s an incredibly knowledgable guy and no job is too small for him to jump in, and really help us – “the little guy”

So what is a Technology and Market Assessment?

In this day and age of entrepreneurship, starting new businesses and balancing all of the needs and questions that this means many people wonder “where should I start” when developing an idea into a company?

Many people will tell you that you should start with a business plan. While this is good advice, I’d recommend starting with a technology and market assessment. The business plan ultimately is the plan that you hope to go about to make your business successful and sustainable. But the assessment is really a deep dive investigation into your idea, with the hope of seeing “Does this make business sense.”

Second College Grant – Great North Woods

A number of these nature images come from copious amounts of time spent up exploring one of New Hampshire’s great wildernesses known as the Second College Grant. I’ve been fortunate enough to vacation up there for a number of years with my family, and its always been a peaceful and beautiful way to recharge the batteries.

Bring a Photograph to Life

There are three major pieces that I think really make a difference when it comes to taking good photographs. The first is the subject matter. This is honestly an easy one that doesn’t require “artistic skill” and anyone can really start to get it. Can you make an emotional connection with the subject? This is not necessarily about design, or color, or photo composition. But try to make that connection especially when you are just out there taking quick point and shoot pictures – what is the subject thinking or feeling. Or if its a landscape or an animal, how does the way that image make you feel? At the end of the day you will prefer taking shots that either you feel emotional about, or somehow making that human connection with the person you are taking the picture of.
